Colterenzio is one of the newest wineries in South Tyrol, composed of over 300 families working together. This is a new-generation cooperative that smashes preconceptions, proving that a humble “coop” can consistently deliver some of the most transparent, expressive wines in the top flight region of Alto Aldige.
Member-winegrowers farm their grapes on a total of 300 hectares; the vineyards are located in one of the best wine growing sub-districts of Alto Adige, on altitudes ranging from 230 to 650 meters with 12 different varieties cultivated. Ecology is a driving principle here – Farming is sustainable and the winery was built with permaculture in mind.

The sediment in the bottle is naturally occurring. Most sparkling wines go through a disgorgement – the process of removing the yeast sediment for a clear wine. We feel that the sediment protects the wine naturally and gives it more flavor.
This style of wine is often referred to as a “Pet Nat,” short- hand for the French term “Pétillant Naturel,” a “natural spar- kling” wine, or Méthode Ancestrale, because it is believed to be a very ancient style of winemaking.
The flavors encompass orange blossom, mandarin peel, fresh bread, and red berries like raspberry and cherry. If you like the sediment, gently turn upside-down before opening. If you don’t want sediment in your glass, chill the wine upright and pour off until you reach the sediment at the bottom then stop.

All of the grapes for this wine come from the single 'cru' called Bricco Boschis. This is classic Castiglione Falletto Barolo, combining the clear fruit notes of La Morra and Barolo itself (strawberry, occasionally red-currant) with many other botanical notes supported by middling dark-chocolate tannins. It's firmer than La Morra, but not as beefy as Serralunga. While it can be drunk while young, this will age for as long as you can resist opening it.
Capturing the freshness and finesse of the vintage, this has classic varietal aromas of rose petal, forest berry, camphor and underbrush. Reflecting the nose, the vibrant, focused palate delivers ripe red cherry, crushed raspberry, wild mint and star anise set against taut, refined tannins. Bright acidity keeps it balanced. While you won't have to wait years before enjoying this, it will also age at least another decade or more. Best 2024–2033.

Delicious, balanced and refined, Ostinato Fine Ambra Secco is a dry Marsala that is produced according to traditional methods now rarely seen in the appellation, especially in Fine expressions. It begins with its ‘alto grado’ base wine, from late-harvest, low-yielding Grillo, Inzolia and Catarratto old vines. Its higher natural ABV means the wine is less reliant on fortification and is more expressive of Marsala’s indelible terroir. Extended aging beyond the minimum Fine requirements produce a Marsala that resonates with deep vinous character.Sold Out
