Who doesn't right? That fresh-from-the oven aroma that fills your house and brings instant joy, the delicious bubbly cheese and that oh-so-perfect crust that you made yourself, easily... in just 30 minutes!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup warm water (100-110° F)
  • 1 (.25 oz) package active dry yeast
  • 1 tsp white sugar
  • 2 1/2  cups bread flour
  • 2 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp salt

-Preheat oven to 450. Lightly grease a pan*

-Add warm water to a bowl along with yeast and sugar. Mix and let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.

-Add flour, oil, and salt to the yeast mixture; beat until smooth. You can do this by hand or use a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook. Let rest for 5 minutes.

-Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a 12-inch circle. Transfer to the prepared pizza pan.

-Spread crust with sauce and toppings of your choice.

-Bake for 15-20, until golden and bubbly. Let cool for a few minutes, slice and enjoy with your favorite medium-bodied red wine!

* Tip: if you have cornmeal on hand, sprinkle some onto the pan before placing the dough. This helps keep it from sticking!
